Blessing of Graves

"The season of Easter
is a fitting time to pray
for loved ones who have died."

On Sunday, 10^th April a large crowd gathered at Slough Cemetery to have their family or friends graves blessed. Fr. Kevin and Fr. Stan from Holy Family were assisted by Fr.Richard Moroney, parish priest at St. Anthony's, Farnham Royal, and Fr.Paddy Feeney, who has come to help at St. Augustine's, Datchet.

Candles were available
to take home for those
whose relatives or friends
are buried elsewhere or
who have been cremated.

After some communal prayers, individual graves were visited and blessed

You may like to know that we have made arrangements for Fr. Crawfurd’s headstone
(in St. Mary’s cemetery)
to be straightened and the letters re-gilded.
When the work has been completed we will make arrangements for the grave to blessed again.
