A Challenging time ahead for the Parish Pastoral Council
Chairperson Anita Mitchell tells us about this important group.....

The Parish Pastoral Council as it stands at present, consists of about twenty people of all ages.
We are a diverse mix from all walks life. Some have been a part of the council since the beginning, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge. Others are newer members. myself included, have only been involved for a relatively short time.
However, we all have a great deal to offer, and enthusiasm is not in short supply!

We meet every couple of months to discuss what's happening in the Parish at present, and explore where we would like it to go in the future.
When the Parish Pastoral Council was conceived in its present form nearly two years ago, Father Kevin said that he really wanted us to concentrate on 'two' items on our agenda.
The first was the 50th anniversary of the Parish in 2005, and the second being the 50th anniversary of the church building itself, which is 2nd February 2007.

Item one has come and gone, in spectacular fashion, and I thank everyone involved in that for their time and effort.
We are at present in the process of making item two a reality. Watch this space!

It sounded simple, but has proved to be a challenge, albeit an enjoyable one for all concerned.
