Mass of Thanksgiving
for the 50 years of Profession
of Sr. Mary Curtis.

St. Bernard's Convent,
Slough

22nd. April, 2006.

Sr. Mary photographed cutting her cake specially baked by Graham Mengham

It was a glorious Saturday morning and St. Bernard's chapel was full of family and friends to celebrate
the golden jubilee of Sr.Mary Curtis, one of the Bernardine sisters.

The Mass was led by Monsignor George Stokes, a friend of
Sr. Mary's.

Fr. Noel Connolly, Fr. Brian Godden, Fr. Peter Craddy
and Fr. Kevin O'Driscoll
concelebrated.

As part of the Mass Sr. Mary renewed her vows and so did the rest of the Bernardine community present.

Afterwards there was a reception in the school hall.

Sr. Mary gave a short speech.
She spoke amusingly of her convent schooling
in London and of her time working
in the Foreign Office.

Photographed with Sr. Mary Helen, Prioress General, (bottom right) Sr. Mary also thanked everybody
who had supported her since she came to Slough (in the 1970s) and expressed her gratitude to all
who had made the day so special for her.
