The Ninth Station
Jesus falls for the third time
Where Mary Lou has shown a passive modern crowd and Maureen has shown an angry crowd I have chosen to show an anonymous crowd.
I wanted to show that Jesus did this for all mankind, individually. Jesus looks directly at you as if to say,
“ I am doing this for you, personally”.

I don’t know the Bible like Mary Lou nor raise questions like Maureen.
I have tried to keep my paintings simple,
concentrating on a single figure,
I hope that they stir some emotion in the observer
